“We are losing our ability to keep civilization safe and viable”

For the editor:

As a country, our biggest challenge is the elites in Washington and the far left of the Democratic Party. We are losing our ability to ensure the security and viability of civilization. Every major city in the United States has people fleeing their urban homes. Our stores are condemned, people are afraid to walk alone at night. We no longer have police walking around the neighborhoods. Regularly we read about hit-and-runs, carjackings, robberies and seizures, shootings many of which go unpunished. What were once big cities are now havens for homelessness and crime. We have stopped funding police, elected prosecutors and public officials who neglect violence and random attacks on vulnerable people, while human excrement and litter have become commonplace. We no longer arrest, convict or incarcerate the culprits.

We have a president who is destroying our economy and killing labor participation through government handouts. A president who inflated the money supply and lowered the value of the dollar. A president who surrounded himself with ideological liberals who ensure that corporations, Wall Street and the banks see their organizations wake up while demonizing oil companies, banning rich oil and gas leases on government lands, canceling pipelines, discouraging nuclear energy, adding meaningless regulations. resulting in high prices for gasoline, diesel fuel, and thousands of extra dollars for fuel oil and natural gas for those living in the northern United States. In return, his administration is pushing for electric cars with no infrastructure to support them or greenlighting the mining of critical minerals to make batteries to run them. An administration that would rather partner with the likes of Venezuela, Iran and the Saudis for our oil.

It has allowed millions of non-English speaking illegal immigrants to our southern border to enter the country with American taxpayers for transportation, welfare, medicine, education, which will aggravate the endemic poverty in many of our already impoverished cities. A government that ignores legal immigration law is spending billions of dollars on noncitizens who could help homeless, poor, and elderly American citizens struggling to survive Biden’s self-inflicted inflation. His administration is trying to dismantle years of a legal immigration law that guarantees those who learn the Constitution and American civics the liberty and freedom to live in harmony in America. It is also capped at 675,000 visas per year. Instead, he chooses to allow illegals into the United States who have no allegiance to assimilate in the American way. Regardless of what they say, it is becoming apparent that his party seeks absolute power and a socialist totalitarian government to replace our democratic republic.
