Shambhunath Municipality will construct 24 houses for the poor and disadvantaged

SAPTARI: The Municipality of Shambhunath has decided to build a total of 24 houses for the families of poor Dalits, disabled people and disadvantaged people.
On Friday, the mayor of the municipality Jitendra Prasad Gupta laid the foundations for the construction of the houses in Kankapatti, district No. 2 of the municipality.
On the occasion, Mayor Gupta said no one should suffer because of lack of housing. Sharing that the construction of houses was started under the Tarai Madhes prosperity program and the budget allocated by Ward No. 2, he said that the houses for the remaining target families will be done with funds from the municipality.
Mentioning that an initiative is underway with the Ministry of Urban Development to prove corrugated iron roofs to 500 households in the municipality, Mayor Gupta expressed his commitment not to let anyone suffer because of the housing problem.
The administrative director of the municipality, Rajkumar Das, said that the municipality is working with various organizations to raise the standard of living of the people.
